Primary Purpose: As the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Intermodal and Automotive Operations, you will be at the forefront of our transformation journey. Your primary purpose will be to develop, adapt, and execute a strategic roadmap aimed at establishing rigorous process control, fostering world-class analytics, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement within our Intermodal and Automotive Operations (IMAU Ops) division.

 

Principal Duties: In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Create executive-ready communications that provide invaluable support for informed decision-making within the IMAU Ops division.
  • Serve as a thought leader, shaping the strategy for IMAU Ops and acting as a trusted sparring partner for other IMAU GVPs, bringing fresh and innovative perspectives to the table.
  • Drive a cultural transformation, influencing both agreement and non-agreement staff across IMAU Ops, to instill a mindset of excellence and continuous improvement.

 

Job Related Experience:

  • Minimum Level: 8+ years of demonstrated experience in process control, analytics, and leading transformative initiatives.
  • Preferred Level: 10+ years of successful leadership in similar roles, with a track record of driving significant improvements and innovation.

Education:

  • Preferred Level: Master's Degree (BS, MBA, BBA) with a strong foundation in Business.

Licenses / Certifications:

  • Required: None listed.
  • Preferred: None listed.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel/Spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook.
  • Exceptional abilities in MS PowerPoint/Presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word/Word Processing.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong decision-making acumen, especially in high-pressure environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to articulate complex ideas effectively.
  • Analytical thinking coupled with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to chart a clear path towards long-term objectives.
  • Experience in Lean Transformation methodologies is a significant advantage.
