Position Responsibilities
As an intern on the Accounting Systems team, you will leverage data and analytical tools to design and implement process improvement solutions for Revenue Accounting. You will also assist in the support of legacy processes and engage with IT to resolve issues.
Principle Duties:
- Process improvements using technology and data
- Provide solutions to internal customers
- Automate reports to eliminate manual effort
- Data mining using various data sources
- Create routine and ad-hoc reports for business partners
- Support Revenue Accounting invoice delivery processes (EDI 410, eDelivery)
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and data solutions utilizing SQL, Spotfire, and other tools
- Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and IT
- Revenue Accounting Systems support, maintenance, and development
- Develop and maintain day-to-day relationships with internal and external (vendor) partners
- Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements and vice versa
Education/Experience
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree
- Preferred Degree Paths: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, and other majors in a similar field of study will be considered

Technical Skills:
- Use of analytic tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Teradata, DB2, Spotfire, Python, etc.

- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Prioritize work as business needs change
Compensation:
Freshman (27 or fewer credits) - $2,948/month
Sophomore (28 to 59 credits) - $3,293/ month
Junior (60 to 89 credits) - $3,553/month
Senior (90 or more credits) - $3,763/month
Graduate Student - $4,507/month
*Pay one time roundtrip mileage for out of area students.
*$425 bi-monthly housing stipend for out of area students (not prorated).
Work Conditions
Environment: Office
Hybrid - Two days (office); Three days (remote)
Duration – 12 weeks
Travel Required: 0-1 days per month
