Job Title:    Aircraft Maintenance Manager

Department:    Chairman's Office

Location(s):    VA-Norfolk, Airport-NS Hangar; GA-FTY Airport-NS Hangar

Pay Band:    B5 - 30% bonus opportunity

Work Conditions    

Environment:  Outdoor/Field

Travel Required:  0 - 2 Days per Month


Job Description    

Primary Purpose:
This position is responsible for the management of aircraft maintenance operations and staff. 


Principal Duties:

- Supervise and perform aircraft maintenance activities, including overhaul, modification, maintenance, and repair.

- Maintains aircraft to airworthiness standards prescribed by regulations, directives, and industry best practices.

- Schedules aircraft maintenance considering such factors as workflow, location of equipment facilities, tools, supplies, and job requirements.

- Supervises Maintenance planning which includes obtaining quotes from vendors ensuring budget adherence and all duties related to procurement. 

- Develops, tracks and meets the capital and expense budget for maintaining company aircraft.
- Maintains appropriate training for company aircraft and a valid A&P license.

- Maintain a program for the tracking of Aircraft Inspection packages, repair, and record keeping. (CAMP Systems or equivalent).

- Responsible for maintaining operations in accordance with IS-BAO or BASC protocols and other industry accepted practices.  

- Responsible for safe operation of fuel farm, ground equipment and towing of aircraft


Job Related Experience:
Minimum Level:  5-10 years corporate aviation
Preferred Level:  11-15 years corporate aviation
Experience in corporate aviation operations and knowledge of OEM processes and procedures. 


Preferred Level:  College Degree or equivalent experience.      
- Preferred:  Training or experience on NS specific aircraft.


Licenses / Certifications:
   Required:  FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificates 
   Preferred:  FAA Inspection Authorization
