Asst Mgr Cash Application & Bank Acct

Primary Purpose

Responsible for a variety of banking functions necessary to establish correct daily cash position and payments for all Norfolk Southern and related companies.

 

 

Principal Duties

  • Assists in the management of various systems used related to the company's cash, including banking websites and SAP S4 HANA related activities
  • Monitors electronic bank reports and cash concentration accounts
  • Prepares daily cash positioning related reports for upper management
  • Identifies banking data or security issues and assists in working with bank to resolve
  • Prepares support for electronic Treasury payments for corporate debt, tax payments, dividends, real estate and other large value items
  • Responsible for SAP data entry and integrity of information to provide accurate
    record of debt and investment transactions
  • Assists in training and reviewing work of other staff members
  • Responsible for leading Treasury operations activities related to corporate Records Management responsibilities and requirements

 

 

Job Related Experience

   Minimum Level:  1-3 years

   Preferred Level:  > 2 years

 

Education

   Minimum Level:  Bachelor's Degree (BS, BA, BBA)

   Preferred Level:  Master’s Degree (MA, MS, MBA)

   Preferred Majors:

  • Business - Business Administration and Management
  • Banking and Finance – Finance
  • Accounting

 

Licenses / Certifications

   Required:  None listed

   Preferred:  Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
