Who we are and what we do:
The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science team is centralized across the entire organization. This team works with various product teams across various business units to define high-impact business problems, solve them using novel techniques, and execute and monitor them throughout their lifecycle. Most of our models make it to production, they never sit in a research lab. As a team, we do quite a bit of research to stay up to date with the latest technologies and algorithms. This team is high performance, collaborative, and idea generating.
The Data Scientist (GenAI) to join our enterprise AI team. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing intelligent solutions using Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. The ideal candidate will work across teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing AI capabilities that drive business value. The position involves working with cloud-based platforms, modern AI/ML frameworks, and collaborating across business units to solve complex problems.
What kind of problems do we solve:
• Document Intelligence: Analyze and extract insights from thousands of corporate documents, reports, and operational data using advanced NLP techniques.
• Conversational AI: Build intelligent chat systems that help employees retrieve information and interact with enterprise data.
• GenAI Solutions: Creating and deploying Generative AI models for document processing, visual data analysis, and natural language understanding.
• Model Context Protocol (MCP): Enhance AI agent capabilities through custom tool integrations and context-aware servers.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI solutions tailored to business use cases.
• Develop and prototype solutions utilizing advanced LLM frameworks including LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, and related technologies. Additionally, create applications with Streamlit or Chainlit for demonstration purposes.
• Develop advanced prompts and design autonomous LLM applications that can operate tools and access APIs on their own.
• Develop and optimize RAG pipelines and LLM integrations.
• Experiment with Small Language Models and emerging GenAI techniques.
• Integrate AI solutions with authentication systems and enterprise infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance the GenAI platform, including backend APIs and chat applications. Monitor and improve model performance, accuracy, and reliability.
• Maintain lifecycle of model: Development to Deployment to Production and Monitoring.
• Ensure responsible AI practices, including explainability, governance, and compliance.
• Keep up with AI trends and regularly update skills to apply new tools and methods within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver configurable, scalable solutions.
Education Required
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Linguistics, or related field.
Skills Required:
• 2-4 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP or AI positions.
• Hands-on background in Generative AI, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning large language models (LLMs), and deploying these solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy, spaCy, NLTK, and Matplotlib.
• Skilled in SQL, No SQL, and vector databases.
Skills Preferred:
• Advanced degree, e.g., Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Linguistics, or related field.
• Knowledge of Agentic LLMs and orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or workflows like AutoGPT.
• Specialized knowledge: MLOps practices, model deployments, document processing, text extraction, advanced NLP techniques, (NER, sentiment analysis text classification).
• NLP and AI/ML Frameworks: Experience with training NLP models from scratch, working with Large Language Models, and using libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, and Transformers.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (ECS, S3, Lambda, Bedrock, OpenSearch) Databricks.
• DevOps expertise: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, Terraform.
