Job Description

The department of End User Computing is responsible for strategic planning, operations and support for end users.  End User Computing is responsible for selection, budget, maintenance and replacement of laptops, desktops, printers, and tablets. The services in this area consist of both deskside and helpdesk support. End User Computing’s goal is to transform the workforces’ experience with end user technologies. As we continue to strive for innovation and operational excellence, we are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Operations Process Engineer to join our team and assume the responsibility for our process efficiency and improvement.

The IT Infrastructure and Operations Process Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, creating, testing evaluating, and restructuring technical processes to locate inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements to quality, productivity, and cost. This role will report directly to the Director of Enterprise Services.

Principal Duties:

  • Work closely with all technology disciplines to plan and implement the introduction of measurable and effective continuous process/workflow improvements in alignment with department and company KPIs
  • Work in conjunction with all Information Technology Operations’ disciplines and customers to support new products and new technology platforms
  • Create, configure and develop technical processes
  • Create and manage process documentation and operating instructions
  • Document and present process maps
  • Appraise, measure and analyze processes
  • Develop and perform experimental process tests with respect to quality, method, cost, etc.
  • Search for best practices and innovative solutions which could improve production and quality
  • Complete process simulations
  • Develop and implement metrics to monitor and improve performance of processes

Skills & Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of system/software development and software engineering methodologies
  • Experience with solutions including ServiceNOW and Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to make timely, effective decisions and demonstrate a positive track record of driving change through business re-engineering efforts
  • Knowledge and experience with the full IT lifecycle
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients using strong customer relationship skills and innovative thinking
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings in writing and verbally
  • Experience managing communications and outreach and driving cultural programs for technical outcomes

Job Related Experience:

   Minimum Level:  4-5 years

   Preferred Level:  6-9 years



   Preferred Level:  Bachelor's Degree (BS)

   Preferred Majors: Engineering or related fields


Licenses / Certifications:

   Required:  None listed

   Preferred:  Six Sigma or other process re-engineering

                       Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

                       Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)

                       Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
