Job Description

Job Summary

Norfolk Southern Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Technology Engineer. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the quality of the corporation’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) program with a focus on the Identity as a Service (IDaaS) program.  The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, defining, documenting and testing business and system requirements for complex, high profile projects. The candidate will act as a liaison between Information Security and business partners. The successful candidate should be proactive and must possess strong analytical and communication skills.

 

Education

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information security, or other similar curriculum

 

Skills and Experience Required

Ability to capture requirements with efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail on a consistent basis

Ability to interact professionally with SPOCs, subject matter experts and development teams

Experience in documenting requirements using the following:

Use Cases

Activity Diagrams

Domain Models

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies

Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment

 

Skills Preferred

Identity Management experience

Privileged Access Management (PAM) experience

Identity as a Service (IDaaS) experience

SQL knowledge

General understanding of RACF, LDAP, and Active Directory

Linux familiarity

Familiarity with railroad business

Application development and system support

Experience developing complex object-oriented systems and applications (languages such as Java and C#)

Experience working with web services and remote APIs
