Job Description:

Norfolk Southern Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Information Security Senior Technology Analyst with expertise in Identity and Access Management. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for analyzing, defining, documenting and testing business and system requirements for complex, high profile projects. The candidate will provide support for IAM systems and will act as a cross-functional liaison between management, IT developers, quality assurance and business partners.



Required: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information security, or similar curriculum

Skills Required:

  • Passion to work with a diverse Information Security team to support and grow the IAM program of a large enterprise
  • General Identity and Access Management experience, administrative or technical
  • Excellent organizational skills, work ethic, and multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 4+ years installing, configuring and maintaining complex commercial off-the-shelf software systems.
  • 4+ years of formal IT project experience consisting of
    • Application design and development
    • Analyzing and documenting business requirements
    • Documenting use cases
    • UML modeling
    • Professional interaction with business partners

Experience Required:

  • Understanding or experience with Active Directory domain administration, group inheritance
  • Java or other object-oriented programming
  • Microsoft Office
  • Basic LDAP knowledge
  • Linux knowledge and shell commands
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies
  • Security access tools, e.g. SSH (Linux) and Remote Desktop (Windows Server)
  • Consuming or developing web services and remote APIs

Skills Preferred:

  • Experience with architecture, configuration, management and provisioning of Identity Providers (IdPs), including network devices, F5, Microsoft Azure, Layer 7,
  • Oracle Identity Manager configuration and administration including custom connector development.
  • Hitachi Password Manager configuration and administration
  • CyberArk or similar PAM system configuration and administration
  • Centrify configuration and administration
  • Understanding or experience with RBAC, including role creation and management
  • Understanding or experience with RACF security administration including Passphrase, MFA, Certificate management and Zalert
  • IT technical support background
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Railroad business experience
  • Interaction/interfacing with internal and external auditors
  • Windows OS knowledge and experience including kix scripts, logon scripts, GPOs
  • SQL programming
  • BI reporting
