Primary Purpose

The Manager of Data Architecture and Governance is responsible for orchestrating the foundational components of enterprise data ecosystems in order to provide capabilities that improve the quality and fidelity of data consumed by business processes and analytics use cases.


Principal Duties:
•    Design and define overall data capability architecture to meet current and future business needs.
•    Build an Innovation ecosystem to bring forward new ways of thinking around data to improve business outcomes.
•    Accountable for driving evergreen strategies for key foundational data capabilities 
•    Participate in collaborative partnership with Data Strategy champions to support driving Enterprise data strategy.
•    Accountable for the development of Data Management Reference Architecture and Capability Roadmaps.
•    Accountable for the development and governance of Data Principles, Policies, and Standards.
•    Identify the data assets that are deemed significant to the enterprise, as determined by the business impact, decision impact, risk mitigation or organizational impact of the information.
•    Assist business areas in the analysis of innovative data technologies and methodologies to determine how they impact the broader Enterprise Architecture.
•    Partner with the business to resolve Data Ownership opportunities. 
•    Apply data governance standards, guidelines and processes to ensure data quality are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state.
•    Support the development and test teams with the creation of test data that meets security requirements. Ensure no Personal Sensitive data resides in development or test systems.


Job Related Experience:
   Minimum Level:  3-5 years
   Preferred Level:  6-10 years


   Preferred Level:  Bachelor's Degree (BS)
   Preferred Majors:  Computer and Information Sciences


   Required:  None listed
   Preferred:  AWS or GCP Certifications


Technical Skills:
Knowledge and experience in the following:


o    Data Modeling
o    Data Integration, ETL and ELT
o    Data Visualization tools, such as Alteryx, Spotfire, Tableau 
o    Big Data Technologies
o    High Volume/Low Latency Streaming Data Processing
o    Data Warehouse and Data Lake
o    Metadata, Master Data Management and Data Catalog
o    Object-Oriented or functional programming
o    RDBMS, SMP, MPP and NoSQL


o    Data Fabric
o    Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform
o    Goverance of Data in Rest and Data in Motion
