Job Description
The department of Enterprise Services develops and deploys the tools and services to continuously transform the workforce’s experience with technology. Our productivity landscape is changing, and we will continue to expand our mobile device capabilities in support of corporate goals and initiatives. In the Mobility Operations Manager role, you will build, develop, and lead the technical team responsible for maintaining the end-to-end mobile device lifecycle. You will drive standardization in the mobility environment by establishing practices, policies, and procedures that are tailored to Norfolk Southern’s specific needs. You will also collaborate with key business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and ensure experience-based outcomes. You understand technical dependencies and proactively build strategies to support our mobile application development teams.
This role will report to the Director of Enterprise Services and is expected to be the proactive thought leader for mobility infrastructure and operations.
Principal Duties:
- Gather technical requirements for implementing MDM services, including software configurations, migration details, office configurations, security settings, activation details, and troubleshooting for a wide variety of cross-platform endpoints.
- Organize workloads on behalf of endpoint management engineers and administrators for efficiency in servicing a diverse set of clients in a fast-paced business environment.
- Craft, develop, and generate reports to communicate and monitor alignment to compliance, process, and procedure for managed endpoints.
- Ensure solutions are compliant with approved corporate and IT security policies, departmental standards, and procedures.
- Plan, budget, implement, and track initiatives to drive continuous service and process improvement for assigned services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technology partners to develop and maintain solutions roadmap.
Job Related Experience:
Minimum Level: 4-5 years
Preferred Level: 6-9 years
Education:
Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree (BS)
Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Information Sciences or Business Management
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong business process analysis, requirements gathering, technical design and systems development skills.
- Thorough understanding of Apple hardware and software products.
- Thorough understanding of MDM solutions such as AirWatch, JAMF, and Intune.
- Experience managing O365 deployment on mobile devices.
- Proven problem solving, project management and planning skills.
- Experience managing communications and outreach and driving cultural programs for technical outcomes.
- Solid understanding of IT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
