Job Description

Enable and promote data-based decision making by managing and optimizing administrative support services within a Medical Case Coordinator position.  Reviews, handles, and processes all Federal and Company physical examination results to help ensure compliance with Federal regulations and company guidelines.

Principal Duties

  • Reviews and ensures completeness of all Federal and company physical examination reports. Forwards all physical examination reports to the Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) for review.
  • Obtains necessary medical information from the applicant, employee or health care provider as directed by the OHN.
  • Tracks and monitors medical data and suspensions.
  • Coordinates periodic physical examinations per company guidelines. 
  • Interacts with internal and external customers relative to the work status of applicants and employees. 
     

Job Related Experience

 

Minimum Level: 1-2 years 
Preferred Level: 3-5 years 

 

Education 
Bachelor's degree (any) is preferred. 
Health and Medical Science majors preferred. 

 

Skills Required 

  • 1 year of exposure to medical case coordination in a medical hospital or healthcare office setting.  
  • 1 year of Microsoft MS 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access) 

 

Skills Preferred 

  • Exposure to Occupational Health Services.
  • Regulatory knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and occupational health regulations.
  • Proficiency in case handling and accuracy of electronic health records. 
  • Computer system electronic documentation within SAP or similar.  
  • Certification in Case Coordination or Case Manager (CCM)
