Job Description:

Norfolk Southern has an immediate opening for an SAP BW/BOBJ Developer with 3 plus years of experience. This position will be a part of the Synergy Team, a sub-group of the IT department responsible for SAP projects, at our campus in Midtown Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand existing SAP BW/BOBJ landscape and solution to support business with questions on data/reports.
  • Work closely with SAP functional teams and business to gather reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate Functional Specifications to provide project time and resource estimates and complete technical documentation.
  • Design, build and support BW Models, BEx queries and BOBJ Reports.
  • Provide end user support and troubleshooting assistance for Analysis for Excel and BOBJ Client tools.
  • Perform BW development reviews and maintain reporting standards.
  • Work closely with our offshore BW team to provide support with BW system maintenance (together with Basis), monitoring of the BW system, and resolving complex technical errors in the system.
  • Participate in testing related to various SAP versions and Support Pack upgrades.

Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3 plus years of hands-on experience in SAP Business Warehouse 7.5 on HANA, Modelling, Extraction and Report Design, Query Designer and SAP Business Objects tool.
  • Experience in HANA BW Modelling tool (SAP HANA Studio).
  • Knowledge in BW related ABAP coding (Badi enhancements, start/end/expert routines, CMOD Exit for custom variables).
  • Understanding of various SAP functional modules (SAP HR/SAP FI/EHSM/P2P).
  • Knowledge of HANA views, SAP Analytics Cloud Reporting and Planning would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Business Objects Analysis for Office and WEBI.
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in Computer Science.
