This role is very critical to the success of the SAP solution delivery team at Norfolk Southern focusing in the source to pay space.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality analytical solutions for the key stakeholders in the SAP source to pay space (S2P, PTP) by managing internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with the product owner to create the product backlog by using Agile practices to increase the business value
  • Develop business cases by working closely with IT and business stakeholders to develop business cases
  • Provide user stories to multi-disciplinary teams and define the business-driven acceptance criteria
  • Support Agile practices and encourage the improvement of service
  • Provide subject matter proficiency in specific functional area(s) to the assigned team (source to pay processes)
  • Supports successful execution of the vision
  • Works to resolve complex domain specific impediments
  • Works in the trenches with the team members to solve problems
  • Leads participatory decision making with the team to develop and evolve the design
  • Ensures standards are adhered to
  • Coaches and mentors other team members
  • Direct system integrators and other IT partners on implementation of solutions
  • Communicates with other teams on cross-team collaboration
  • Ensures quality through reviews

Skills Required:

  • The SAP S2P lead needs to be business-oriented, eager to learn, empathetic, and flexible towards working in an Agile environment and should be innovative and goal-oriented. The S2P lead resume must comprise the following characteristics:
  • Understanding of technical business area related to the projects taken
  • Expert in conceptual modeling; visualize possible solutions innovatively
  • Excellent proficiency in verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Multitasking ability
  • Ability to critically question to help the team foresee the future problems
  • Ability to file the requirements based on the project
  • Ability to understand the Agile development process
  • Familiarity with requirement techniques such as informal modeling, use cases, user stories.
  • Must have is one full implementation of SAP procurement solutions, preferably S/4 Hana and/or Ariba solutions
  • Nice to have is certification in one or more Agile methodologies
  • Nice to have is experience in using Agile
