We are searching for an SAP Security Systems Administrator for our Technical SAP Team.  Norfolk Southern continues to make significant investments in leveraging the SAP platform for mission critical logistics applications as well as the operational aspects of the business. 

What problems will you be solving in this role?

This position requires significant experience in architecting, designing, developing and supporting SAP on premise, HEC and cloud security solutions.  The preferred candidate will have experience in SAP with SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Access Control (AC) and Process Control (PC) domains, along with SAP security models.  In addition, the candidate should have multiple S/4 and SAP SAAS implementations, and operational support experience in SAP IdM and other security components.  This position will be a part of the Synergy team at our campus in Atlanta, GA.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • The candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing and supporting security solutions leveraging SAP security with tools such as GRC and SAP IDM across multiple SAP components such as ECC, HCM, SRM, Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, Success Factors Employee Central, S4/HANA, BI/BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud and Business Technology Platform. 
  • Performs security audits and analyzes user profiles to maintain proper software configuration settings. 
  • Translates business goals into appropriate security solutions in SAP while assessing feasibility and optimization of the solution.  Participates in the development of cost/benefit analysis.
  • Cultivates and demonstrates industry-specific business process knowledge and familiarity with relevant enterprise, business unit, and functional strategies, objectives, and plans.
  • Proactively identify process improvements including clear and concise solution definitions.
  • Develops proof of concepts to demonstrate proposed technical solutions.
  • Provides guidance in the definition of solution design practices and standards that link back to SAP best practices.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with a diverse group of business, functional and technical teams.

  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to explain complex solutions to lay persons, demonstrates smart design techniques and mentors other team members.
  • Point of contact for internal and external audits
  • Works with overall Information Security and Enterprise Architecture to ensure security design meets NS security standards.
  • Conducts and supervises continuous security tasks such as scheduled access reviews and business role owner maintenance.
  • Prepares system documentation and maintains security in accordance with department standards.
  • Assists production support to troubleshoot issues.
  • Assists IDM administrator with troubleshooting provisioning issues using SAP Identity Management
  • Works with the business and SAP functional teams to design, implement and maintain SAP roles and authorizations.
  • Performs security monitoring and compliance activities.
  • Works with internal and external auditors for SOX control definitions and testing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an IT analyst or consulting position with relating business requirements to sound security solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment frameworks/standards namely COBIT/SOX IT Control Testing
  • Minimum 10 years hands on experience in SAP systems analysis and design, and technical/functional solutions delivery (supporting configuration and custom development). 
  • Experience or background in internal and external auditing preferred.
  • Experience with S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Security, SAP IDM 8.0, and SAP BTP is preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of the major technical processes and associated functionality in the SAP IDM and GRC AC/PC domains, including security understanding of functional processes such as quote and order management, service contract service request and service ticket processing.
  • Strong understanding in SAP development methodologies including strong troubleshooting and issue resolutions skills.
  • Proven ability to develop complex SAP solutions. Excellent facilitation skills, including experience planning and participating in SAP design sessions.
  • Experience with interacting with third party resources, including offshore teams.

Education:

B.S. strongly preferred, in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.

M.S. preferred, in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
