Primary Purpose:

You’re a great content creator and an even better storyteller. Help us tell our safety story. The Safety Content Specialist will help lead all aspects of Norfolk Southern’s safety content design, strategy, and production. The successful candidate will use design to weave a compelling story that resonates with multiple audiences. Must be a strong visual thinker with the ability to craft fact-based and thought-provoking content to best fit their medium. This person should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable interacting and collaborating with all team members throughout the hierarchy of the organization.

 


Principal Duties:
•    Work closely with Regional and Division managers safety and operating practices to develop safety content relevant to the target audience.  
•    Manage creative projects from concept through execution and aligns materials with the corporate brand and safety in mind.
•    Create and develop multimedia content for internal company posters, slides, and videos, corporate training, and other department projects as needed.
•    Produce creative collateral to support the business, ensuring alignment with company's brand positioning from concept to final product.
•    Interpret and distill highly technical information both verbally and visually for a variety of audiences.
•    Work within established Norfolk Southern design and branding guidelines and utilize digital assets and graphic archives.
•    Manages production processes and logistics to project completion.

 

 

Job Related Experience:
Minimum Level: 3-5 years
Preferred Level: 7-10 years

 

 

Education:
Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Majors: Graphic Arts, Design, Communications (Radio, TV, Film)
