Job Description

Primary Purpose:
The Director Workplace Experience is responsible for the development and execution of the high-level strategy for various workplace experience programs and initiatives and ensures alignment to corporate goals and objectives.

Principal Duties:
•    Leads, empowers, and develops the workplace experience team to deliver results, drive continuous improvement, share best practices, and grow their skills and impact
•    Oversees the continual development and implementation of all experience initiatives/benefits including vacation, parental leave, flexible work arrangements, relocation, travel, interest free loans, military stipends, and adoption assistance
•    Ensures Norfolk Southern maintains high standards of non-discriminatory personnel practices consistent with corporate policies, goals, and objectives
•    Oversees the continual development and implementation of Norfolk Southern’s Employee Assistance Program which includes wellness offerings, Critical Incident Stress Plan Response, Peer-to-Peer Program, and Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Services (DARS)
•    Drives collaboration among managers in the workplace experience group and across HR


Job Related Experience:
   Minimum Level:  5-7 years
   Preferred Level:  7-10 years

Education:
   Preferred Level:  Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS, JD, MBA)
  
Preferred Majors:
•    Business - Human Resource Development
     
Licenses / Certifications:
Required:  None listed
•    Preferred: SHRM certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified
•    Professional (SHRM-SCP); Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
