Job Description


Primary Purpose:

Responsible for developing computer software and instrumentation for the track geometry cars.


Principal Duties:

  • Develop specialty software applications for use on the track geometry vehicles or in the office.
  • Develop instrumentation for use on the track geometry vehicles. Responsibilities include the selection of sensors and development of software to integrate the sensors with existing hardware and software.
  • Manage data produced by the geometry car. Responsibilities include transferring data and information to various users and mobile devices and administering the TI&D SQL server.
  • Substitute for geometry car operators as needed.


Job Related Experience:

Minimum Level: 1-2 years

Preferred Level: 3-5 years



Preferred Level: Associate's Degree (AS), Bachelor's Degree (BS) Preferred Majors
